Currently a Scientist and group leader in the Bioinformatics department at Genentech Inc., South San Francisco. Previously Sr. Research Scientist and Research Fellow at Merck & Co. (Rosetta Inpharmatics), Seattle. General research interests are in the areas of computational biology, genomics and genetics, especially in their application towards identification of disease genes and diagnostic markers for patient segmentation. Other associated research interests include transcriptional regulatory networks characterization and idenfication of pathways associated with disease, DNA pattern recognition and the analyses of cis-regulatory sequences, and functional annotation of DNA sequence variants.
